Kiersten graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a B. A. degree in Mass Communication, specialization in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in History. During her time at Sam Houston State University, she was a lab instructor in Astronomy, reporter and government producer of the university’s news station, and the recipient of the Writing Excellence Award. In addition, she was President of Sigma Alpha Pi honor society, a member of Alpha Chi honor society, and on the President’s and Dean’s List. Kiersten enjoys reading Chinese and Roman history, watching the news, and shopping.
